The Revolution has begun - PROJEKT REVOLUTION, that is!

Wednesday June 25, 2008

...AND TITOFELIX COULD BE THE OPENING ACT!

That’s right, titofeliacs. The gargantuan brainchild of Linkin Park makes the touring rounds once again, and they’re coming to Atlanta’s own Lakewood Amphitheatre on August 3. This time around, Chester and crew are bringing along a diverse group of amazing artists that span several genres – Chris Cornell, Busta Rhymes, The Bravery, Ashes Divide and three local Atlanta acts to be picked, and that’s where YOU come in!

Just like you helped us fight our way to the Regional Finals of the Bodog Music Battle of the Bands earlier this year, we really need your help again to get us into the Final 12. From June 26 – July 9, log on to http://www.addictedtonoise.com and head to the Projekt Revolution Atlanta page to cast your vote for us. Then call all of your friends, family and everyone in between and ask them to vote for us. If we are one of the 12 artists with the most online votes, we head on to the Finalist round, and from there, it gets really big…

...HOW BIG?!?

From those final 12, MTV2 will choose three artists to represent Atlanta on this stop of the Projekt Revolution tour. That means 15 minutes on stage as an opening act for the tour, as well as local (and possibly national) coverage by MTV2.

We are up against the likes of other amazing Atlanta-based acts, so your votes will definitely count a lot in the preliminary rounds. So let MTV2 and Linkin Park know that we would be the perfect addition to the upcoming Projekt Revolution Tour – cast your votes NOW!

"Thrust" into the spotlight once again!

Thrust the movie Official Trailer

WE’RE BACK!!!! Well sort of…

Congratulations to our boys Walter Boholst and Abe Spigner of Waltertainment! And our thanks to them for utilizing our music in their upcoming project.

For the past few years, Walt and his crew have been living and working in LA, all while filming and shopping a feature film called Thrust: The Movie. Born out of footage shot when Walt was covering an import show called Hot Import Nights, it later became a DVD known as Thrust Video Candy, which featured some of our music as well as an interview segment with us. This time around, there is a central story to the madness. The film has been in post-production for a while, but we just received word that it’s FINALLY making its premiere at the Detroit Windsor International Film Festival on Saturday, June 28, at 7:00 P.M. We’re really excited for the guys and hope they can build enough of a buzz to make it in other film festivals to come. So if you know anyone who lives in the Detroit-Windsor area (or within driving distance), you should persuade them to check it out. Seating is limited to 150, I think.

We’re looking forward to seeing the final product. This film has the potential of being a cult classic, but you tell us after you see the trailer (rather, tell Walt and the Thrust crew what you think on their MySpace page). Pretty cool to hear our music playing in the trailer background – during the women’s jello fight of all places! And it’s an awesome blast from the past to see Walt sporting the classic Tsinilas Clothing Company gear, and seeing the famed Tsinilas booth in the car show background.

Enjoy it, and spread the word!

Palarin ka sana!!!

Tuesday May 27, 2008

You know her as one of our Import Racing Girls, you’ve heard her sing on that titotune as well as These Anniversaries, and if you were lucky enough, you’ve caught her on stage singing background during one of our shows (and maybe a cover tune or two)...

...now she’s moving on to another country and to the next phase of her life. Yes, our very own Vangie Roxas was accepted to medical school in the Philippines and will be living and studying there for the next four years (at least). In fact, she is on a plane right now as we type. So we just wanted to let her know how proud of her we are, and we wish her the best of luck with school and her future career in the medical field!

PROCRASTINATIVE!!!

Friday April 25, 2008

He’s cool…he vlogs…and he’s hopped up on energy drinks.

Thanks to Kyle for taking a study break to explore a richer understanding of the carnal notions suggested in “Me, You, & Hammock” – the plug was pretty awesome too brother!

Finals – kill ‘em.

No Tasty World this weekend, but how about this tasty little morsel...

Thursday April 17, 2008

...yes, it’s true titofeliacs. Unfortunately, we can’t make it back to Athens tomorrow night, so we had to cancel our show at Tasty World. We’re pretty bummed about it, but we hope to be back in Athens to rock out with everyone again soon…

But never fear! We wouldn’t leave you COMPLETELY hanging. Here’s a fresh little feature from our good friend Ranjit, complete with a little smidgen of titofelix at the end. It’s great stuff from a talented guy, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we did! We proudly present….

Go International with titofelix! Travel with us to Athens...

Thursday April 10, 2008

...Georgia, that is, hehehe!

Here’s your opportunity to catch us live and in living color! Come out this Saturday, April 12, to the 10th Annual International Street Fest, hosted by the International Student Life (ISL) Office at the University of Georgia. It’s an exciting day of cultural displays and performances from UGA student groups and community organizations, and we’re excited to be a part of this huge event!

The festival will be held in downtown Athens on College Avenue from 12 p.m. (noon) until 5 p.m., and we hit the stage from 4 p.m. – 5 p.m. We’ll have free copies of Character Flaw to give out while supplies last, so if you haven’t gotten your copy of this classic album, here’s yet another reason for you to come to the festival.

The ISF is a FREE event and open to both UGA and the Athens community. For more info, you can check out the ISF page. Thanks, and we hope to see you there rockin’ out with us!

titofelix goes animé, baby! Plus the return of Kaomi123!

Wednesday April 9, 2008

Oh, those titotunes! You’ve heard them live, heard them as the background to indie films like Lumpia and the DVD Thrust Video Candy, even seen them set to scenes from the video game Kingdom Hearts II! So how do you think we would fit with another genre… say, perhaps animé?!?

Enter Ashley, who decided to take scenes from the anime film, Clannad The Movie, and put it to the song Anak. Unfortunately, she was only able to capture and edit part of it, but what was captured is, simply put – WOW! So we wanted to share with it everyone. Enjoy, and let us know what you think!

And to Ashley – Awesome job! We’re glad that you enjoyed the music enough to use it for one of your videos, and we hope to see a finished version sometime soon!

Speaking of Kingdom Hearts II, we can’t leave without acknowledging yet a THIRD video from one of our paborites, Kaomi123. This time, she used Something Strange, and as always, it’s an awesome job as well. So thanks again, we want to share it with you!

Hope you enjoy the double dose of titofelix fan goodness!

Is your Paborite band still worth $1,000,000? Welcome to the Wildcard Round!

Tuesday April 8, 2008

About two months ago, we were competitors in the Bodog Music Battle of the Bands – Regional Finalists and one step away from quite possibly one of the biggest opportunities of our lives, a chance at a $1,000,000 recording contract! Unfortunately, only one band could advance from our region and we did not advance to the big show; however, Bodog is now giving one lucky band a chance to get back in the hunt as a wildcard band at the World Grand Finale this Summer 2008 and it’s all in your hands. How awesome would it be to see your paborite band rocking out at quite possibly one of our biggest shows ever, and against not just national bands, but INTERNATIONAL bands as well?!?

We feel honored that we were one of the early favorites within our region, and we believe that we do have what it takes to win the big one. We would love to have one more shot at the gold ring, and as rabid as our titofeliacs are, we know that it’s within reach. So what we need for you to do is log on to the Bodog Battle FanChoice Page, register if you haven’t already, and vote for titofelix once a day every day between April 1 -April 30. Get everyone you know to help us out by voting as well, and you just might see us among those still standing this summer!

Thanks so much for your continued support and for being a part of this great titofelix experience over the past year!

SHOCKING!!!

Sunday April 6, 2008

Our sincere thanks to the good folks of Georgia State and Georgia Tech who brought us out to, arguably, the most well attended, planned, and executed Culture Shock ever. The house was packed and the audience was electric! Amazing!

Athens here we come!!!
