Meet the Band

Robeen Dey

I’m Robeen Dey. I am the guitarist of titofelix.

I grew up in, was born in Atlanta, GA…however, I physically grew up in Alabama. I mentally grew up in a floating sailboat headed in no specific direction; it travelled through various multiverses. I spiritually grew up in my backyard – a derivative of neverland. I died when I moved to Chattanooga, TN…

...I found myself reborn in Atlanta, GA, freshman year of college at Emory. As I awoke from the womb I was birthed in, I recalled one unchallenged light in my memory of being dead. I had formed a band called Aurora, and thus found a reason to live. I ran into Marc Cordon one day at a stupid rock show at Emory.

I then joined titofelix.

I found the best aspect of titofelix was its unfamiliar methodologies (unfamiliar to me, that is). I had never been in a ‘pop’ band, so the motivation, inspiration, goals, ideas, etc., were all so unique to me. Thus, I accepted the band with open arms: it would be a rewarding experience being immersed in a new world. When I’m not with tito, I play in Last Aurora and Resident Manifesto. When I’m not with them…I play guitar.

Future plans and what not.

I plan to revolutionize the world in measures that will never be matched by any individual, group, or alien spaceship. I plan to travel the world. I’ve begun writing philosophy articles which will be read by 1.2 people (1.2 is the national average number of people who read articles of philosophy). I plan to wreck religion and build absolutionism in its place. I plan to be the president of the USA, granted it is still a super power in a few more years…and in turn, i will abolish terrorism, tyranny, and tax all in the same day.

These short term plans are what are important to me because i know i have two choices (one has two parts… so really three choices).

  1. do nothing
  2. do something: a)inflict destruction (contribute to natural entropy) or b) inflict progress (opposition of entropy)

I chose to do something.

Whether i destroy or create progress…only time will tell.

But for now… all you need to know is:

I have been a representative of energy in the band titofelix since January 2006 (sophomore year). It was at that time that i realized I had a violent addiction to joining bands that rock. I also realized that this was due to the hunger my soul dictated upon me. A hunger for music. A craving for the energy that music entails at any given moment.

Peace out.
